Adobe Systems scientist & solutions architect, John Penn II, will be showing to Law Enforcement many brand new Photoshop and other new Adobe technologies and techniques. All new technologies that are a part of Photoshop Extended CS5 and their effects on law enforcement will be covered. Techniques valuable in law enforcement investigations will be demonstrated. It will provide law enforcement with a balanced understanding of the benefits and costs of digital evidence in their cases. Techniques that can be used by criminals to protect themselves from law enforcement will be addressed. Law enforcement attendees will be provided access to law enforcement only training resources.

Practicing Super-Resolution in the Real World

MotionDSP's CEO, Sean Varah, and Director of Product, Mike Sonders, will lead workshop participants through the workflow of enhancing videos with super-resolution technology, using the brand-new 2.0 release of MotionDSP's Ikena software. Exercises will include capturing video evidence from sources like cell phones and proprietary DVR playback software, enhancing videos with automatic presets and optional GPU-accelerated video processing, and creating media for courtroom- or client-presentation using automatic subject/object highlighting. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and any video files on which they'd like to see super-resolution enhancement in action.
